It’s Rebecca’s ‘Col’ at Connell Hill Training League Show
Friday night saw the third show night of this Training League giving riders the opportunity to train towards achieving their goal at the final on Friday 19th December, riders to compete at five (same height class) show dates to qualify. This show is ideal for not only introducing the novice horse to the competitive scene but also the rider to brush up on skill, seat position, learning strides etc; one young lady with a bright future taking to horse riding showing natural ability with huge enthusiasm jumping clear in the x-poles class was Rebecca Saunderson on ‘Col’ and then it was a full house of clear rounds for the 50 cm class. Nothing dull for the 70 cm class as Carla Kidd jumped a super double clear on ‘Shadow’. The course then set for the 80 cm class saw once again another full house of double clear rounds with Conor Stewart jumping double clear on ‘Killy’ in the 90 cm class. The last presentation of rosettes for double clears of the night were Tara Murphy, jumping her first 1.0 m class, on ‘Clover’ and Katie-Lee Houston on the great ‘Minto’.
