Spooktacular Night at Connell Hill
It was the weekend for ghosts, ghouls, witches, vampires and the like but none were to be seen at Connell Hill when competitors arrived to jump at the Indoor Training Show on Friday night. Ponies and horses jumped a track designed to test control and riding skills in a friendly, family, relaxed atmosphere. Starting the nights jumping saw a skilful clear round from Jodie Creighton on young ‘Boots’ in the 50 cm class. Hannah Thompson on ‘Tia’ and Brigid Delargy on ‘Promise’ jumped double clear rounds picking up red roesettes in the 60 cm class. The 70 cm class saw great skill and control as Jodie Creighton on ’Tabby’, David Taylor on ‘Rosie’, Beth Boone on ‘Polly’ and Brigid Delargy on ‘Promise’ all jumped double clears. A young athlete with great potential jumping double clear in the 80 cm and 90 cm classes was Georgia Kelly on ‘Bobby’.
Training Show for Horses and Ponies continue on Friday nights, at 6.30 pm, 50 cm – 1.10 m classes.
Autumn SJI Pony League 24th November, 1st December and Final 21st December at 10.00 am all usual classes.
Autumn SJI Horse League continues on 9th, 16th 23rd and Final on 30th November at 10.00 am, 80 cm – 1.30 m classes.
3 & 4 Year Old Pony Loose Jumping continues on Tuesdays 12th and 19th November at 7.00 pm.
James Wray Trust Working Hunter Show on Sunday 17th November at 10.00 am.
Half Bred 3 Year Old loose jumping on Tuesday 26th November at 7.00 pm.
