Successful August Sale at Cavan

The August International Performance & Premier 3 Year Old Sale at Cavan Tuesday 20th, Wednesday 21st & Thursday 22nd August was a huge success.
The Premier 3 year old sale on Tuesday 20th generated huge interest and a fantastic crowd attended. These premier 3 year olds were selected at viewing days prior to the sale and indeed proved themselves in their premier spot in the fantastic prices they achieved.

Over the 2 day International Performance Sale on Wednesday 21st & Thursday 22nd competition among buyers was intense for both ponies and horses of good proven pedigree and those who performed well before going into the sales ring. This is reflected in the prices for ponies and also in the prices for horses. In total over 140 horses and ponies were sold finding homes in Sweden, France, Denmark, Scotland, England and with many also making shorter journeys to new homes in Ireland and Northern Ireland.

The next Sales event at Cavan is the Elite Foal Sale which takes place on Thursday 26th September @ 7pm at the Cavan Indoor Championships. There are 4 sales in October – the Young Sport Stock sale on Wednesday 2nd, National Registered Irish Draught Sale on Thursday 3rd, a two day International Performance Sale on the 9th & 10th followed by a Registered Connemara Sale on the 11th October.
