gransha_huntingSomething for everyone at Gransha Equestrian Centre this Winter

Gransha riding school has been given a boost recently with the purchase of four new horses for the School. These horses are the beginnings of Gransha’s elite string of top class Riding School Horses for the talented riders who frequent the Equestrian Centre on a regular basis and are ready for that step up to competition level horses. They will be available for use in Private Lessons with our qualified instructors, each with their own particular area of expertise.

The winter programme is due to start on Tuesday 25th of September with a four week Working Hunter Clinic. Originally the classes were to start at 7.30 with a lesson for riders jumping up to 80cm class followed by the 1 meter class. Due to the current requests this has been changed to the 7.30 session for novice riders, horses and ponies jumping up to 70cm. The 8.30 session is for riders jumping 80cms. These sessions are restricted to 6 riders so pre booking is essential.
The first week will be a brief assessment of horse and rider, moving on to presentation of the Working Hunter in both the jumping and show phases.
As the weeks progress the horse or pony and rider combination will become more confident and knowledgeable of what is expected of them in Working Hunter Competitions.

The breath taking Olympic Dressage has inspired Kirsty to oversee and direct a Drill Ride to Music. Practise will start on Monday 1st October concluding with a display on the 17th December.

For the riders who wish to hone their jumping skills, Vicky Teuton is holding classes covering interesting pole work, distance training and grid work. These will start on Friday 5th October running through to the last Friday in November when there will be a competition for all of those who attended the classes. There will be two sessions each night, 7.30 and 8.30. These sessions are also restricted to 6 riders in each, so booking is necessary with Vickey on mob.07929095392.

gransha_derbyThe Indoor Jumping League will start on Tuesday 23rd October with a practise week and then a 6 week league with a final on December 11th. Riders need to jump in 4 of the 6 qualifying weeks to be eligible for the league prizes on the final night.

Riders wanting to improve their dressage abilities can book in with Justine Sole BHSI who will be at Gransha on 11th and 12th November and 9th and 10th December.
