Working Hunter Show at Connell Hill

The Working Hunter show for horses at Connell Hill was a huge success as this was the second opportunity to qualify for the Northern Ireland Festival to be held at Cavan Equestrian Centre on Saturday 27^th and Sunday 28^th April 2013.  Riders and horses were all groomed and impeccably well turned out each putting their best foot forward as the competition was one of a very high standard.  1^st place in the 4 year old Working Hunter class was Dean Bell on ‘Chilli Night’ and Small Hunter won by Nicola Stewart on ‘Liquorice Light’.  The 80 cm class 1^st place was Victoria Teuton on ‘Lucky Cavalier’ and Nuala McNally on ‘Song of Charm’ took 1^st place in the 90 cm class.   Taking home first place in the 1.0 class was Shane Doyle on ‘Lexi’ and 1^st place in the 1.10 m 1^st place was Sarah Morre on ‘Shameless’.

Connell Hill would like to thank Mrs Anne Torrens for Judging the show and scribe Miss Julie McLernon, and also take this opportunity to thank all competitors who entered both the horse shows and also the pony show and wish all those who qualified good luck at the Festival.

80 cm:  1^st Victoria Teuton – Lucky Cavalier, 2^nd Nicole Billings – Amber, 3^rd Dean Bell – Chilli Night, 4^th Stephanie Farren – Night Skye Du Carel, 5^th Victoria Teuton – Shanbally Lucky Dip, 6^th Katy Irvine – Sonny

90 cm:  1^st Nuala McNally – Song of Charm, 2^nd Victoria Teuton – Springwell Boy, 3^rd Nuala McNally – Rockafella Rose, 4^th Victoria Teuton – Lucky Cavalier, 5^th John Gault – Smart Alex, 6^th Dillon Huddleson – Euro Wood

1.0  m:  1^st Shane Doyle – Lexi, 2^nd Victoria Teuton – Khan Do, 3^rd Dillon Huddleson – Euro Wood, 4^th Sarah Moore – Shameless
