It’s The Real Deal at Connell Hill’s Training Show
Connell Hill gave competitors ‘the real deal’ on Friday night as they arrived to jump, train and school over professionally designed courses in the grand outdoor arena. This arena which has a carefully maintained surface offering smooth take off and landing encouraged horses forward and gave riders the confidence to aim higher. One young rider gaining confidence going it alone was Charlotte McAllister jumping clear in the 40 cm class on ‘Timmy’. Another young rider, Anna Jackson, displayed her talent jumping clear in the 50 cm class on ‘Jack’, and as the car parks filled the 60 cm class was set which saw Bertha Rea jump a very stylish double clear on ‘Jess’. The warm friendly atmosphere at Connell Hill certainly is welcoming as one young lady, Emma Hoy, celebrated her birthday jumping a superb double clear in the 70 cm class on her super horse ‘Bounty’. The Centre was buzzing as Sophie Clugston then set the standard opening the 80 cm class with a double clear on ‘Buzz’. So with Training Shows running every Friday night at 6.30 pm x-poles, 30/40 cm & 50 cm, 60 cm – 1.0 m, we will be delighted to see you, who knows this could be your step to greater things to come. Summer Derby, tracks incorporating working hunter and show jumping fences, scheduled for Sunday 2nd August at 10.00 am, 60 cm – 1.0 m.
