Colt Forty Five Shoots To First Place at The Meadows
Four seasons in one day greeted riders to the Meadows Equestrian Centre, Lurgan for the continuation of their summer programme of jumping, with the weekly SJI league now reaching the half way stages.
The SJI 1.30 on the day was won by David Taylor riding his own ‘Cruising for Pleasure’ stopping the clock in 42.02secs and recording the only double clear of the competition.
Many new faces were welcomed to Arena 2 where the Cash Jumping Ireland competitions continued. With riders from all over the province making the journey to the MEC, it was Vicki Titterington who kicked off the Cash prizing winnings on the day, winning £22.50 on her own ‘Thornbrook Donau Wind III.
90cms winner, Marina Stewart was the big winner of the day scooping over £45 after a close contest over the Aaron McCusker designed course. Stewart was victorious stopping the clock at 32.07, ahead of earlier winner Vicki Titterington who finished in second place less that one second behind the winner.
Eventer Joanne Jarden was the outstanding winner in the 1m class with ‘SBT Upmarket’, Jarden was alos placed 2nd with her chestnut horse ‘Creating a Storm’, taking home £30 in the process. Joanne’s good fortune continued into the 1.10 where she was also the winner this time with her own ‘MJI Belle Bonita’.
