Cooper and ‘Bump’ Named Ones to Watch at Connell Hill

connellhillTraining means fun, enjoyment, good craic, catching up with old friends, making new friends, schooling horses, ironing out problems and it all happens at Connell Hill on a Friday night.  Here you can jump to aid fitness, introduce horses to the showing environment, iron out difficulties, introduction of a new partnership as willing and able hands are available with knowledgeable help and guidance.  Emma Hoy took the first double clear of the night in the 70 cm class on her very trustworthy stead ‘Bounty’ going on to claim double clear in the 80 cm class with Anna Jackson on ‘Sammy’ and Chloe Connon on ‘Hip Hop’.  This melodious night then saw the 90 cm class kick off with a superb double clear for Gary Close aboard the very talented ‘Melody’ with Natasha McKernon on ‘Star Statiz’.  Just then the sky clouded over and rain appeared but the arena crew braved the wet preparing the course for the enthusiastic 1.0 m class competitors who saw new combination with huge talent and ability, and certainly one to watch out for in the future, Fiona Cooper and ‘Bump’ jump a smooth flowing double clear.

Training continues next Friday night at 6.30 pm, x-poles, 40 & 50 cm, 60 cm – 1.0 m, not forgetting our ‘Summer Derby Show’ on Sunday 5th July at 10.00 am , 60 cm – 1.0 m, tracks comprising show jumping fences and working hunter fences.  Show has huge sponsorship from ‘Mother Bee’ and Brookvale Tack Shop so load up come on over and join in what promises to be a great day with the opportunit
