Strule Valley Begin Summer League
STRULE VALLEY RIDING CLUB’S Annual Summer Showjumping League commences on Wednesday 1st July at 7pm with 60cm, followed by 70cm, 80cm, 90cm & 1 metre open. It takes place at Ecclesville, Fintona & is open to everyone, members & non-members, ponies & horses. The league continues on Wednesdays 8th & 15th July with the final scheduled for Wednesday 22nd July. For the league winners there will be beautiful perpetual cup & prizes in each class. The AJS Promotions Perpetual Cup for the 60cm class, The Strule Valley Riding Club Perpetual Cup for the 70cm class, The LW Surphlis & Son Perpetual Trophy for the 80cm class, The Good Gracious Perpetual Cup for the 90cm class & the Omagh Equestrian & Countrywear Perpetual Cup for the 1 metre open class. The Fordie Cathers Perpetual Cup will also be awarded to the highest placed SVRC member. Those who won perpetual cups at last year’s league final are asked to return them on either 15th or 22nd July please.
Members look forward to showjumping training with Mandi King on Monday 6thJuly at Tyrone Farming Society Showgrounds; then on Thursday 9th July cross country training at Drumragh House by kind permission of Mr & Mrs David Campbell. Moving into August, there will be showjumping training with Mandi King at her yard, a freestyle to music demo with Phillippa McKee & flatwork lessons & BBQ at Heather Beattie’s yard & a pleasure ride at Gortin Glens on Bank Holiday Monday 31st August.
