Connell Hill’s Traning Show ‘Says Forward’
The pleasantries of the past weeks glorious weather had competitors buzzing at Connell Hills’ Training Show so as we head to-wards summer time next week-end – don’t forget to put your clocks ‘Forward’. So with ‘forward’ in mind riders not wishing to be left behind jumped at the opportunity of training/schooling confidently at this ‘training show’. Not only does Connell Hill have most elite surfaces in all arenas but this safety conscious venue will, unhesitatingly, aid and encourage competitors ‘Forward’. The x-poles class is an ideal building block for young riders and horses which saw Sophie McAllister gain confidence taking ‘Angus’ over the course. It was then a full house of clear rounds for the 30 cm class with Megan Carville jumping the only clear round in the 50 cm class on ‘Busby’. Megan and ‘Busby’ then went on to jump double clear in the 60 cm class with Lauren Carville on ‘Junior’. Samantha Billings displayed her talent in the 70 cm class taking the only double clear on ‘Sammy’. It was Natasha McKernans’ night on ‘Star Status’ jumping double clear in the 80 cm and 90 cm classes. The 1.0 m class ended the show on a high with a double clear for Sammy Cameron on ‘Tanner’.
