Second Lieutenant (2/Lt) Jennifer Larkin

Second Lieutenant (2/Lt) Jennifer Larkin from Clonmel, Co. Tipperary was commissioned as part of the 90th Cadet Class in February 2015.

Before joining the Equitation School Jennifer competed in national level eventing and was placed in the Silver Spurs dressage final. Her other interests include horse racing and hockey. She studied Nutritional Science in University College Cork before joining the Cadet School in 2013. Her father Commandant Eric Larkin is a serving Army Officer in the 3rd Infantry Battalion, Stephens Barracks, Kilkenny. Co. Kilkenny.

Danielle Quinlivan from Kanturk, Co.Cork was the first female equitation officer to join the Equitation School in 1998.

The Equitation School was founded in 1926 to promote Ireland and the Irish horse. Army riders have represented Ireland at Olympic, World and European Championship level in Show-jumping and Three Day Eventing. The Equitation School is based at McKee Barracks in Dublin.
