| February 4, 2015

The Pony Club’s Annual Conference is being held on March 4th at its bi-annual venue of Cheltenham Racecourse. The event boasts aThe Pony Club

jam-packed and varied line up that reflects feedback from volunteers on what would help them, and will also act as the final official engagement for Chief Executive, Judy Edwards.

There will be ‘Inspirational Thoughts’ courtesy East Cheshire Branch District Commissioner, Geoff Bell, and Centre Proprietor of Carrington Riding Centre, Sharon Groos.  This will be followed up by the opportunity for interactive discussion between delegates and Pony Club representatives in the areas of websites, databases, training and Pony Club volunteers.

After lunch, there will be an opportunity to sit back and enjoy speaking slots from Pony Club Members John Church and Chris Harris, around their time in Australia as part of The Pony Club Tetrathlon International Exchange, before the unique opportunity to hear what it’s like being Head Groom to Her Majesty the Queen, from Terry Pendry!

There will also be a presentation to the nominated Pony Club ‘Secretary of the Year’ by current Pony Club President, the Lady Lloyd Webber.

“I am delighted that this, my final Conference, will be at our favourite venue of Cheltenham Racecourse” comments Judy Edwards, CEO of The Pony Club. Judy goes on to reminisce “My first Annual Conference, back in 2005 at Cheltenham, was memorable on the morning for the arrival of two feet of snow and that guest speaker Peter Scudamore, having mixed up his dates, was the other side of the Irish sea! I very much hope that this year’s will be memorable for entirely different reasons and that we will see as many of our volunteers as possible there”.

Those attending will also have chance to meet The Pony Club’s valued sponsors, browse sponsors trade stands and The Pony Club’s wide range of merchandise.
