Connell Hill’s Inspirational Training League Show

The fifth week of the Training League Show at Connell Hill welcomed competitors to jump challenges ranging from x-poles to 1.0 m classes which saw some super controlled rounds of jumping indoors.  This indoor league offers a huge opportunity inspiring athletes not only to go forward but aim higher, also introduce horses to the competitive world of jumping with riders brushing up on skills as they iron out their techniques of strides with turns to take fences.  The show commenced with a full house of clears for the x-poles class with Kim Moore on ‘Elsie’ jumping the only clear round in the 50 cm class.  The course adjusted for the 60 cm class saw Mia McLean aim higher jumping double clear on the appropriately named ‘Justice’.  The very popular 70 cm class then saw Grace Moore take control and successfully jump ‘Millie’ double clear.  This most enjoyable sport is all about getting on board and enjoying the experience of navigating your horse not only over the track but steering them to the awaiting fence which saw Natasha McKernan do just this with a double clear on ‘Star Statues’ in the 80 cm class.  This most inspiring night which heard cheering and clapping encouraging riders over the tracks ended with a top-notch double clear in the 1.0 m class for Sarah Sproule on ‘Lyleview On Time’.  Competitors still have time to load up and jump with eight weeks still remaining before the final on Friday 19^th December, as it is five dates jumping same rider and horse to qualify.
