Tredstep CNCJ1* Autumn Series Concludes
The conclusion of the Tredstep CNCJ1* Autumn Series was held at Ballindenisk International on Sunday 21 September.
Lydia Dawson riding Gloster Boy went into the final in equal first position with Cathal Daniels and Ballyknock Nice Guy. Points were doubled in the CCIJ1* final so the pressure was on!
Charlotte Dixon riding Shadow Light were the best of the competitors after the dressage phase with 36.6. The cross country round didn’t cause any problems for the riders, who all rode clear.
But it was the show jumping phase which once again proved influential. With only one pole down, Charlotte maintained her lead to win the final leg of this series.
Despite having four poles down, Cathal Daniels, riding RLE Fugitive remained in second and Lydia, finished in third position – but she had done enough to win the Tredstep CNCJ1* Autumn Series finishing on 30 points. Alice Copithorne riding Fort Arthur Going for Gold was fourth.
Top eventer and Tredstep sponsored rider, Aoife Clarke, took time out of her busy schedule to present Lydia (pictured) with her prize – a €1000 Tredstep Makeover – which includes a pair of Tredstep Tall Boots.
Aoife also presented the Tredstep Voucher to Charlotte, who won the final leg of the series.
Tredstep’s Managing Director, Aidan Keogh commented “Tredstep Ireland are delighted to be associated with Ireland’s Junior riders through the sponsorship of the Spring and Autumn leagues in addition to the Tattersalls CCIJ* class. The recent success at European level of both the Juniors and Young Riders (many former Junior riders) is testament to how important it is to support the development of riders at this level and we would like to thank all the riders who participated throughout the season and congratulations to all the winners”.
Eventing Ireland would like to thank all 32 horse/rider combinations who took part in the Autumn series and to Tredstep for their continued support – which is now in its 6th year!
