Sun Shines for Ardnacashel League

The sun shone at Ardnacashel Equestrian, Comber on Sunday 6th July 2014, the first leg of its Show Jumping League. The new course of show jumps looked fabulous and the competitors enjoyed jumping round the very colourful course in the spacious outdoor arena on the excellent fibre and white sand surface.
Jasmin Kirkwood took the first Red Rosette of the day riding Maddy in the Cross Pole class and went on for a second double clear in the 50 cm. This was swiftly followed in both classes by Holly Carva riding Socks. Gail Smyth rode a super double clear on Bruno in the 70 cm class. In the 80 cm class the lovely Lola ridden beautifully by Gillian Wilson secured a double clear round. Dorothy Gourley and Guinness had a very successful outing competing in both the 80 cm and 90 cm successfully.
The 90 cm class was very popular and saw great double clear rounds. There were no clear rounds in the 1m class. Photographs were taken by AP Photos, Newtownards.
The show jumping league continues on Sunday 13th, 20th, 27th July and the final on 3rd August 2014 at 10 am. Competitors must compete in four out of the five weeks to qualify for prizes. We are also still holding training shows on Thursday 10th and 17th July 2014 at 7 pm.
