16 Years at Strule Valley

STRULE VALLEY RIDING CLUB in Omagh, Co Tyrone celebrated 16 years of the Club recently by organising a combined training competition at the RDA, Arvalee, Omagh which consists of dressage and jumping.  Thanks to the competitors who came along to support the show, especially the members who travelled from Erne Lakeland Riding Club & well done to all for taking part.

 Thanks to Lucinda Webb Graham from Randalstown for judging & her husband Gary for scribing, Heather Beattie for adding up the scores, Pearl Donnell for looking after everyone with refreshments & to Andrew Bogle for building the showjumping course, & to everyone who helped Andrew build the course & put the jumps away afterwards & also Ivor Russell for helping to set up the dressage arena.

The Club would like to thank Mrs Monteith for coming along to present the RJ Monteith Perpetual Cup which was won by Ann Regan & her brilliant heavyweight cob Barnstormer.

Thanks also to Ann Patterson from Omagh Equestrian & Countrywear who sponsored some of the prizes.

Well done to young Robert McLaren & his very nice Connemara Crossown Joy who won Class 2 The Pony Club D Level 1 Test.  Ann Regan & Barnstormer took the top spot in Prelim 13 2006 & Novice 24 2010 with Erne Lakeland Riding Club Chairperson Maeve Lunny & Millie taking 2nd place in both these classes.

The Club would like to invite you to join them on their annual charity pleasure ride at Baronscourt on Monday 1st April commencing at 11am.  £5 is asked per pony/horse which will go to ‘The Share Centre, Lisnaskea’.
