All Silver success at Knockagh View
On Sunday 26th January Knockagh View Ewquestrian Centre held an All silver showjumping day with classes for everyone with jumping starting at 30cms. There were a lot of delighted competitors winning some beauiful trophies, our first winner of the day was little Eve Lindsay riding her pony Bart to a lovely clear round, her bigger sister also took the reins jumping her first course by herself and finished in a fantastic 5th place. Krisitie Wilson riding her coloured pony Harry is following in her mum’s footsteps with a polished and speedy clear round in the 40′s taking home the trophy.
What a day for young Anna Jackson on her pony Jack winning both the 50′s and 60cm class without spreads and taking 2nd place in a closely contested 60cm class.
Another double trophy winner was the consistent combination of Bianca McIlnea and Ross riding in style to win the 90cms & 1M classes.
Natasha McKernon and her aptly named pony Star Status flew round the 60cm class to win.
The 70cm winner was the new combination of Laura McKay and Darcy in a very large strong class much to the crowds delight.
Also fighting off strong competition was Gillian Bearns with Bobtail boy winning the 80cm class in a very fast time.
Knockagh View Liveries also did themselves proud with numerous placings throughout the day with Kelsie Gascoigne starting off with 4th place in 30cms,Laura Struthers flying to 3rd in 70cms with good performances from Janet Gascoigne and jennie Marshall also in the 70cm class. Anna Pollin, Jennie Marshall and Samantha Billings put up a good show in the 80cm class with Mimi Joffroy having a very unlucky fence down in the 90′s to finish 4th and Alsion McClean also jumping into 4th place in the 1M class.
As usual the course was brilliantly designed by SJI course designer Alistair Megahey, giving competitors a lovely flowing course and some great turns in the 2nd phase against the clock.
