Part-time groom or working pupil needed for small professional yard near Hillsborough, Co. Down. Top horses ranging from youngsters to CCI3*, therefore a high level of care and attention to detail necessary. Applicant must be reliable, honest, good with horses, tidy, and able to hack out. Very flexible working hours for part time groom and weekends if possible.

General yard duties to include turning out, mucking out/skipping out, grooming, hacking, lunging, trimming/clipping/plaiting.

Applicant must have a very good eye for detail, be tidy and be able to handle what can be lively competition horses. Must be responsible, conscientious and able to use own initiative and not need to always be told what to do.

Working pupil option: Excellent opportunity to go to some of the top events in Ireland and abroad looking after some super horses.  A nice schoolmaster available to ride and learn on. Job suited for someone that really wants to learn about all aspects of eventing. Good yard facilities that are tidy and well kept.

Eventing experience preferable but training can be given. Being competent and confident in handling fit competition horses is more important than riding ability.
