‘TIA MARIA’ Night at Connell Hill

It was a hive of activity at Connell Hill as competitors turned out to jump a super course of fences designed to bring on the young horse and encourage the novice rider to join forces with the more advanced riders who attend.  This family venue welcomes everyone as help, guidance and assistance is freely given to everyone of all levels and ability to promote this sport.  The night commenced with the X Pole class which saw young super-stars of the future Cameron Weatherup on ‘Sugartime’, Max McDonnell on ‘Cocky’ and Tracy Rodgers on ‘Luna Sparkle’ all pick up red rosettes.  The 50 cm class saw Kerry Murray on ‘Luna Sparkle’ picking up a red as did Grace Moore on ‘Millie’ who also went on to jump double clear in the 60 cm class with Michael Doherty on ‘Cinders’ jumping a superb double clear to a stadium cheering and applauding.  This really was an evening filled with excitement as the classes progressed with not only one ‘young’ but new combination/partnership Alix Robinson on ‘Tia Maria’ showing great promise skill and dedication to this sport jumping double clear in the 90 cm class and then the 1.0 class.  Karen Heron took the 1.10 m class on ‘Sky Cruise’.

Training Show for Horses and Ponies continue on Friday nights, at 6.30 pm, 50 cm – 1.10 m classes.

Autumn SJI Pony League 24^th November, 1^st December and Final 21^st December at 10.00 am all usual classes.

Autumn SJI Horse League continues on 23^rd and Final on 30^th November at 10.00 am, 80 cm – 1.30 m classes.

Half Bred 3 Year Old Loose jumping on Tuesday 26^th November at 7.00 pm.

Inter-Venue Tour Final on Saturday 7^th December at 10.00 am, classes 70 cm – 1.20 m.

NIWHA Show on Sunday 8^th December at 10.00 am.

Christmas Fancy Dress show with novelty classes on Saturday 14^th December at 10.00 am with mulled wine and mince pies.
