Connell Hill’s ‘Trendy’ Night!
With Autumn drawing in closer the noticeable change in the evenings means less outdoor training so Connell Hill has the ideal facilities to come along to and train so that you can keep up that fitness you put so much time and effort into. Competitors of all ages and abilities are welcome to attend which at Friday nights show saw Max McDonald on ‘Jenny Wren’, at the very young age of 5 make his way over the 50 cm course. The 60 cm class saw more super young athletes, Oliver Doherty on ‘Trendy’ and Naomi McCavana on ‘Molly’ jump double clears with Alanna Dunlop on ‘Gem’, her new horse, and Pat McGarry on ‘Cynciti’, an ex race horse, also jump double clear rounds. The 70 cm class saw Naomi McCavana on ‘Molly’, Anna Mulholland on ‘Bobby’, Ellen Bates on ‘Elle’, Laura Marrs on ‘Henry’ and Ruth Hunter on ‘Roundstone Star Express’ all taking home red rosettes. Ellen Bates on ‘Elle’ then went on to jump double clear in the 80 cm class with Tracy Lockhart on ‘CJ’ also jumping double clear and then jumping the only double clear in the 90 cm class
Training Show for Horses and Ponies continue on Friday nights, at 6.30 pm, 50 cm – 1.10 m classes.
Autumn SJI Pony League 13th October, 24th November, 1st December and Final 21st December at 10.00 am all usual classes.
Autumn SJI Horse League 19th & 26th October, 2nd, 9th, 16th 23rd and Final on 30th November at 10.00 80 cm – 1.30 m classes.
£1,000 Indoor Derby League, second qualifier date Saturday 12th October with the Final on 3rd November at 10.00 am, classes 60 cm – 1.0 m. Competitors must compete at 1 league date to be eligible for prizes in final.
£1,500 Grand Prix Pony Show on Sunday 20th October at 10.00 am all usual classes.
