Racehorse to Riding horse Ireland held their annual Festival of Exracehorses  in Coilog Equestrian Centre Kildare combining the final of the Irish Thoroughbred marketing Racehorse to Riding horse 2013

competitors travelled from all over Ireland to attend the festival, with two competitors travelling from County Down.  Both were consistent throughout the day, the Mossbank gelding by Kadeed bred by William McGladdery Comber, formally trained by Micheal Hourigan was ridden by Chloe Thompson  Co. Antrim.  They took 4th in the Novice class and 3rd in the Open class while the Cavelcanti mare by Court Cave who was home bred by Dr  Gillespie and trained by his son Patrick Gillespie of Armagh and ridden by Robyn Catterall, took 3rd in the Novice and 2nd in the Open classes.
The Final of the Irish Thoroughbred Marketing had to be split due to the high competitor numbers.  Adding to the tension, the first three from each section, went through to the ultimate final and sadly Mossbank went out at this stage, however Cavelcanti went through to take 3rd place in the final  and  highest placed mare in the class.
