Cloughey & District Riding Club are donning the colours once again this year in order to raise some much needed funding for the charity, St. Vincent de Paul. Their funfilled ‘Lucky Colour’ ride has been planned on Sunday 6th October 2013, leaving from the Green Car Park (BT22 2SR for Sat Nav) beside Catch 27 in Kircubbin. A brief safety talk will take place at 11.30am; the ride will leave promptly at 12 noon.
There will be something for everyone, with a friendly ride over lanes, grass and stubble fields, or a quiet hack enjoying the scenery and banter. Everyone is encouraged to come along wearing at least one item of clothing in their ‘lucky colour’, though the more creative, the better!
The event is heartening reminder to us all of how lucky we are to have such a fantastic lifestyle, with great friends, whilst raising some cash for those less fortunate, especially coming into the hard winter months. It is a fantastic opportunity to socialise young horses, get hunters fittened up, and generally catch up with old (and young) friends. Please come along and support this very worthy cause, a great day’s craic is promised to all.
All riders must have their own insurance (BHS Gold membership includes this) £15 per adult/ £10 for Under 18s. Tea, coffee, soup and biscuits will be provided for all supporters after the rides. Further information is available on Facebook ’Lucky Colour Ride’ or 07850 942873.
