Beauty ‘Screams’ at Connell Hill’s SJI Pony League

It was a busy energetic day at the second date of the Autumn SJI Pony League at Connell Hill.  These young riders were up early and dressed in full show gear prepared to take up the challenge of jumping a colourful course of fences which were set to test riders skills and agility of their ponies.  The arena buzzed as the Under 10’s took to the arena displaying their technique of cutting corners as they sped against the clock with Natasha Kerr on ‘Pepsi Mac’ taking the honour of first place.  This super pony enjoying the lime light of first placing went on to win the 128 cm 1.0 m ridden by Kerri Kerr.  The 138 cm 1.0 m class saw Georgia Kelly on ‘Mystery Boy’ hold the lead throughout the class until Beth Doherty on ‘Beauty’ attacked the course and flew home in first place.  This young lady ‘Beth’ with a future in show jumping then went on to stylishly manoeuvre her way over the course to take first and second placings on ‘Beauty’ and ‘X Scream’ in the 138 cm 1.10 m class.

Training Show for Horses and Ponies continue on Friday nights, at 6.30 pm, 50 cm – 1.10 m classes.

SJI Autumn Horse League Saturday 14^th, 21^st, and 28^th September, 19^th and 26^th October, 2^nd, 9^th, 16^th, 23^rd with final on 30^th November, classes 80 cm – 1.30 am starting at 10.00 am.

SJI Autumn Pony League continues next Sunday at 10.00 am, all usual classes and look forward to everyone attending.

£1,000 Indoor Derby League on Sunday 29^th September, Saturday 12^th October with Final on Sunday 3^rd November at 10.00 am.  Competitors must compete at 1 league date to qualify for final.
