Ella Heron on Princess Judy who jumped clear in the 60cm class during the first leg of Portmore’s new unregistered league

Competitors were treated to an inviting course in the popular Portmore venue on Saturday for the first show in the new Portmore unregistered league sponsored by Equestrianresults.co.uk.  

Ella Heron and Princess Judy produced the first clear of the day in the 60cm class setting the bar high for those who followed.  The 70cm competitors continued to produce flowing clear rounds as Joanne Wilkinson on Casper, Tori Showkam on Tally Ho and Lucy Elliot on TT jumped clear, with Sarah Kiekkas and Belle enjoying their second outing together and Sarah’s birthday in style.
The 80cm provided only two clear rounds with Rachel Harrison on Elva and Lucy Elliot on TT jumping flawlessly into joint first place. Meanwhile Joanne Wilkinson on Casper and Tori Showkam on Tally Ho finished closely in joint second. Pamela Orr and Jack completed a super double clear in the 90cm class with Karen Heron and Sky Cruise in second.
Lynn Larry and Mustang Sally had a splendid round in the 1m class with Graeme Carlisle and Flagmount Heir in second and John Rafferty and Shadow finishing in third.  Graeme Carlisle on Flagmount Heir and Grace Lavery on Sky Double J took joint first in the 1.10m class with Grace Lavery and Sky Double J completing the competition for the day in the 1.20m class.
Equestrian Results.co.uk, sponsors of the league were on hand to add competitors to the system at the show.  Results from each competition in the league will be displayed on www.equestrianresults.co.uk with riders enjoying the first results in their new online competition profile the very next day after the competition.
The league continues next Saturday 31st August.  During each league competition, £2 from each entry goes towards the grand prize fund total.  Participation in four of the seven league events qualifies riders for prize money in the final on 19th October.
