Hannah Biggs and Superstar stallion Weltzin dance their way into the top 5 in the Austrian Alps
Hannah Biggs returned from the CDI4* in Shindlhof, Fritzen with her superstar stallion Weltzin. Beaming! Hannah has had amazing results this year in her international outings and has also experienced the highs and lows dressage can bring. After a disappointing performance at Aachen, she went straight to Shindlhof, Fritzen alongside her trainer Emile Faurie who was on hand as always to help Hannah prepare for her tests.
Not only was this competition a huge success for Hannah but it co-incided with the fabulous news that she has secured a sponsorship deal with Eurostar clothing and Keiffer Saddlery.
Hannah had two top ten placings with consistent marks across the board and scored 68.48% in the Grand Prix for a sixth place overall which then qualified Hannah and Weltzin for the Grand Prix Special in which they scored a personal best of 73.65% for a fifth placing.
Its been quite a week with this personal best and also being nominated at entries stage by British Dressage for the upcoming ecco FEI Dressage European Championships* in Herning, Denmark (21-25 August),
‘Fritzens is the most welcoming, stunning show I’ve been to!’ Said Hannah, ‘It’s what dressage dreams are made of! It was the perfect antidote to Aachen. It was a lovely relaxed atmosphere to redeem ourselves in!
Weltzin felt great, especially by the time we got to the Kur. Better in his frame of mind and better in the frame of his body. I gave him two easy, confidence-building rides. All the judges and spectators once again commented on my soft riding and our harmonious picture! My old trainers ChristilotBoylen and Udo Lange were there and they came up and congratulated me and said how lovely it was to watch!
I know there’s still more power in Weltzin and marks to be had but now we’ve found our fun in the arena again, I know the rest will come!
I need to thank World Class & my sponsors and the most important person of all, Emile. Simply wouldn’t be here without you all!’
