GB event rider Laura Collett Injured in Fall
Following a fall at Tweseldown Racecourse, Hampshire, in the British Eventing Horse Trials on Monday, the 23 year old was taken to ITU in hospital.
The following message was posted on her the Laura Collett Facebook page “Following Laura’s bad fall today Laura is now in ITU in hospital. She has been stabilised and we will know more over the next 24 hours. Thank your for the messages.”
Just under an hour ago, the following update was provided “Laura has been woken up briefly and responded well to family. She is now asleep again.”
A British eventing statement read: “Laura Collett who was competing in Intermediate Section R at Tweseldown Horse Trials One Day Event on the 7th July 2013 has been transferred to hospital after being injured when her horse fell during the cross-country phase. The horse, a grey seven year old mare called Tis A Beauty was unharmed.”
