It’s ‘Futurestic’ at Connell Hill

Connell Hill Equestrian CentreThe Friday night Training Show saw a busy night with competitors introducing young horses to a career of show jumping and riders improving on their ability.  As these classes start at 50 cm what a perfect opportunity to school your young horse in a relaxed friendly atmosphere.  The 50 cm class saw Linzi McCallie take her horse ‘Tillie’ through her paces and jump a clear round as did Yasmin Boyle on ‘Macha’ who also jumped a double clear in the 60 cm class.  Celebrating a successful night was Clara Dawson on ‘Molly’ who jumped double clears in the 70 and 80 cm classes.  Then came the 90 cm class and with a bright future ahead was Naomi Rutherford on ‘Futurestic’ as they claimed a double clear with Seaneen McCoy on ‘Noble’, Jade Harpur on ‘Dollar’ and Richard Hutchinson on ‘Laurel Hill OMG’ all having double clear rounds.

Training Show for Horses and Ponies continue on Friday nights, at 6.30 pm, 50 cm – 1.10 m classes where everyone is welcome to come along and socialise with a hot snack, tea/coffee/soft drink from the cafe.  Further details contact Gillian on 078 03 178 009 or Grace 077 65 884 254, www.connellhill.com

SJI Horse League continues on Thursday 4th, 11th, 18th July, 3 attendances to qualify for final on Thursday 25th July, classes 80 cm – 1.30 m, starting at 10.00 am.

70 cm:  Melissa Rostron – Biscuit, Clara Dawson – Molly, Jodie Creighton – Roxy, Chloe Connon – Blondie

80 cm:  Clara Dawson – Molly, Nicole Cameron – Tanner, Cherie McHugh – Bob, Jodie Creighton – Roxy

90 cm:  Richard Hutchinson – Laurel Hill OMG, Emily Slaine – Lotto, Seaneen McCoy – Noble, Jade Harpur – Dollar, Naomi Rutherford – Futurestic
