Final fever at Ravensdale Lodge

There was great excitement at Ravensdale Lodge over the past four days as the centre played host to four finals in a row. With a fantastic turnout on all four days as qualified combinations battled for the treasure trove of prizes, generously put up by all four league sponsors. Results can be viewed below or on the Ravensdale Lodge website and a full report will follow next week. The spring / summer season kicks off at Ravensdale Lodge this coming Wednesday, 1st May with an SJI registered horse and pony league, classes for horses commence at 11am with two unaffiliated classes, a 70cm & 80cm class which will be followed by registered classes from 80cm to 1.30m. There will be the usual classes for ponies with a slightly later summer start time of 5.30pm. Friday evening sees a new horse & pony training league with the usual classes of X poles to 1.20m and a start time of 5pm. Saturday it is the turn of arena eventing with a new league commencing Saturday 4th May and an extra 50cm class has been added to the four existing classes of 60cm, 70cm, 85cm & 1m to cater for clients who may want an easier introduction to the discipline! There is an earlier start time for this league of 12pm as with the new dressage league which commences on Sunday 5th May at 12pm. There will be open schooling over the show jumping track on both Thursday and Friday and over the arena eventing track on Sunday and this can be booked through the office. All shows will be run on the new all weather fibre sand arena at Ravensdale Lodge with the exception of the dressage league which is scheduled to be run on grass, weather permitting. New combinations have been appearing every week at the centre and everyone is welcome to compete at the world – class facilities at Ravensdale Lodge.
