SJI Pony Leagues Hoze of Smoke
The young riders and ponies turned out once again superbly well groomed to jump at the SJI Spring Pony League at Connell Hill over a course designed by Mr Will Crean to encourage and improve the unlimited skills of these budding young super stars. In a haze of smoke Erin Talbot on ‘Smokegun’ shot into first place with John McEntee on ‘Dysart Delight’ picking up second, Tadgh Clarke on ‘Stormcloud’ third and Alex Finney on ‘Rusty Creek’ fourth place in the Under 10’s class. The jump off for the 138 cm 1.10 m class drew gasps from the spectators as the times lowered and a dream came true for Sophie Dunn on ‘O’Haras Dream’ when they could not be caught taking first place, Daryl Somerville on ‘Eavesmaster Classic Lady’ collecting second place and Sophie Dunn on ‘Milika 2’ taking third. The Dunn sisters certainly lead the day as Tori Dunn on ‘Shandor’ took first place in the 148 cm 1.10 m class Leah McVeigh on ‘Cashmir Jumper’ jumping into second place and Nicholas Farr on ‘Cappagh Supreme’ taking home third place.
