Leagues coming to an end at Ravensdale Lodge
Ravensdale Lodge’s varied schedule of indoor competitions continued this week before the move outdoors early next month. With only one week remaining before the finals at the end of April many combinations were under pressure to add points to their league tally as space at the top of many of the leagues is very tight indeed. With many pairings being very consistent with both attendances and performance there is not much room for mistakes in the run up to the finals and this is the case with all four leagues being run at the centre. While anyone can jump or take part in all four finals only qualified combinations will compete for prizes in the final and with only one week left to qualify or add points to league tables competition will be pretty intense at Ravensdale Lodge over the next couple of weeks. John Floody had no less than thirteen clear rounds at Thursday Crowne Plaza Dundalk’s SJI registered horse league as he steered many of his clients horses to red rosettes. Floody has been very consistent in recent months in the HSI Bluegrass Spring Tour Grand Prix League and missed out narrowly on Saturday riding Newry businessman Kieran King’s Kings Best in Mullingar’s version being piped by under a second by league leader and double Ravensdale Lodge winner, Daniel Coyle. The Crowne Plaza Dundalk SJI registered horse & pony league continues Thursday 18th & 25th April with a start time for horses of 11am and ponies at 5pm.
Many of the combinations involved in the business end of things in the Horseware Ireland sponsored horse & pony training league on Friday racked up points last Friday and this league continues this coming Friday 19th & concludes Friday 26th April. Start time for this run of shows is 5pm with classes from X poles to 1.10m. Room at the top of the Mackins Horse Feeds indoor arena eventing league is very tight and all contending combinations were on hand to put points to their tall on Saturday, this league continues Saturday 20th April and concluded Saturday 27th April with a 3pm start and four classes from 60cm to 1m. More sedate but no less competitive, the Cemac Group sponsored indoor dressage league at Ravensdale Lodge has been very well supported over the course of the league. Positions at the head of the tables has chopped and changed over the course of the league as combinations up their game and find their form. Once again, combinations in contention were on hand on Sunday to add to their score and this league continues Sunday 21st of April with the final being held on April 28th. This series has a start time of 3pm and all class details can be found on the Ravensdale Lodge website.
Week ending 14th April 2013, results Ravensdale Lodge Equestrian & Event Centre.
