Successful Fun at Connell Hill’s Training Show
Connell Hill welcomed competitors on Friday night to a bright fun filled Training show evening where everyone thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. New faces felt very much at home as they took part jumping tracks utilising the scope of the outdoor arena where the maintenance of the surface is fastidious. These painstaking efforts paid dividends for riders as they successfully aimed higher with the confidence and comfort of sure-footedness. Mya McCullough opened the show with a clear round in the x-poles on her new pony ‘Super Splash’ going on to confidently claim red in the 50 cm class. Amy Fleming on ‘Oreo’ then jumped a professional double clear securing her a red rosette in the 60 cm class. The course was adjusted for the 70 cm class which saw Bertha Rea presented red for a double clear on ‘Jess’ with Jennifer McConkey on ‘San Francisco’. Aimee McCaw had a worthwhile trip claiming her red for a double clear on ‘Brooke’ in the 80 cm class. It was certainly a very successful night for combination Emma Hoy and ‘Bounty’ claiming yet another red as they jumped a super double clear in the 90 cm class. Beth Boones’ previous success on ‘Polly’ then saw her claim double clear on ‘Alfie’ in the 1.0 m class. The Training Show will continue next Friday night at 6.30 pm, classes x-poles – 1.0 m, so come along and join this great evening where everyone is welcome.
