Family Training Night at Connell Hill
The holiday weekend got off to a great start with competitors loading up and making their way to Connell Hill for an educational fun filled competitive night of training. It was a ‘Family Team Effort’ on Friday night as parents, grand-parents and friends all joined in and played a huge part in this show. Charlotte McAllister took the first red rosette of the night for a clear round on ‘Timmy’ in the x-poles class and then clear in the 40 cm class with Amy Fleming on ‘Oreo’. Amy and ‘Oreo’ then very confidently claimed red in the 50 cm class with Chloe McMullan on ‘Teddy’. After walking the 60 cm course Chloe and ‘Teddy’ jumped double clear with Sarah McConkey on future star ‘Charlie’ at his debut show. Kenny McMullan then warmed up ‘Juno’ and jumped a superb double clear in the 70 cm class. This family night then saw the 80 cm class set and open for walking with Melissa McClenaghan on ‘Red’ and Yvonne McClenaghan on ‘Annie’ jumping stylish athletic double clear rounds. The 90 cm class then saw Dean Cotton display his talent jumping ‘Gem’ double clear and so with this great family night of training the 1.0 m class was set which saw Fiona Cooper building a very sure bond with ‘Bump’ as they jumped a very well controlled stylish double clear.
Training will continue next Friday night at 6.30 pm, classes x-poles, 40 and 50 cm, 60 cm – 1.0 m, so load up and come on over and join in this ‘Family Team Effort’ of training at Connell Hill, contact Gillian on 078 0317 8009 or Grace on 077 6588 4254 for further details/help or information, everyone is more than welcome and you can also obtain hot/cold drinks or snacks from the friendly café staff.
