It has become the Laurel View custom to turn over a show to charity each year, in 2015, the charity to benefit on 24th May was Childreach International. Laurel View chose to support the work of this charity as Laurel View team member Katie Watt is participating a project with them later this summer.

Aside from the charity, prize winning competitors benefitted considerably from the prizes supplied by the shows sponsors.

Natasha Lowry and Laurel View Jonathan were astounded to hear they had won the walk/trot class judged by Amy Neill, just a collection point or so ahead of Truly and Jackie Hanna.

Just Jake and Holly Reilly were pleased as punch to come top of the newcomers class. Second to them as judged by Laurel Faloona was Debbie McAlister and Inch by Inch.

Ivor Harper judged Prelim 7 and found William and Shelley McFarlane to be top of the large class, just ahead of Claire Robinson and Magic.

Emma Andrews placed Limelight Lexington and Lynsey Craig in the limelight for Class 4. In this class the blue ribbon went to Brad and Joanne McSeveney.

Emma also judged Novice 24 and awarded first place to Penny Murphy on Tick-It, with the blue ribbon this time for Lynsey Craig and Limelight Lexington.

The Open Class gave judge Joan Adrain plenty of variety to assess, but when the scores were totted up first went to Kilminchy Condor and Lucca Stubington for their Novice test, with Penny Murphy and Tick-Its earning a high scoring second.

Last judging task of the day was also left to Joan Adrain, the Dressage to Music class which had also attracted a good number of entries. A very supportive crowd looked on while the class took place and seemed to concur with the judges conclusions when Margie Mac and Erin Faloona were named winners and Kirsty Marsden and Loughmourne Diamond the very worthy runners up.

As always the Equi-Tog photographer was kept very busy trying to capture competitors at their best, to see if they got your best angle email them at info@equi-tog.com

Thanks to all the competitors for coming along and making the work of the Laurel View team worthwhile. Gratitude also has been expressed to all the judges and scribes for giving their time so generously.

Show organiser Katie Watt and more importantly the prize winners would like to say a massive thank you to sponsors Bluegrass, Botanica, Equi-Tog, NAF and Old Mill for their generous support and fabulous prizes making winning the competition much more worthwhile.

No special prizes at the next leg in the Summer Dressage League, but hopefully it will be equally well supported on Sunday 21st June. Full schedule and entry details are available at www.laurelview.co.uk or just call the office on 028 9083 0649.
