Outdoor ‘Stardom’ Jumping at Connell Hill
The personal on hands approach at Connell Hill welcomes competitors who are embarking upon the world of show jumping, those making a return or indeed riders just craving confidence. So with clocks having moved forward adding extra daylight hours and the bumper Easter week weather a super track of fences were designed in the grandeur of the outdoor arena making for even more enthusiasm amongst the riders eager to get going. Ponies, Horses and riders all start by getting off the ground, and where better to do this, than by ‘Connell Hills Training Show starter classes’ the x-poles, 40 cm and 50 cm classes, which saw Charlotte McAllister gaining tremendous confidence on ‘Timmy’. Aoife O’Hagan jumped a sensational double clear in the 70 cm class, on her hero, ‘MJ’. ‘Jhonny’ then did Zara McCall proud as he jumped a super flowing double clear in the 80 cm class. Cherie McHugh then took the first double clear in the 90 cm class on ‘Morgan’ and proudly ending the night Jill Gourley jumped double clear on ‘Pride’ with Gia Traynor on ‘Penny’. So load up and make your way to Connell Hill next Friday night for the Training Show, at 6.30 pm, where your can enjoy a hot or cold snack; .who knows this could be your pathway to ‘stardom’.
