St Patricks Bumper Show Boosts a Busy March at Ravensdale
Week ending 22nd March 2015, results Ravensdale Lodge Equestrian & Event Centre.
After the excitement of the first “Bumper” show of the year on St Patrick’s Day, results of which can be viewed in the results section below, competition returned to normal this week with the usual mix of show jumping, arena eventing and dressage being the order of the day at Ravensdale Lodge. The winter / spring indoor schedule of shows is now well into its latter half and competitions continue at Ravensdale Lodge on Thursday with SJI registered indoor show jumping for horses. This league show has a start time of 11am and six modified classes from 80cm to 1.30m. The horse & pony training league continues on Friday evening from 5.30pm with classes from X poles to 1.10m. Saturday afternoon’s indoor arena eventing league has a scheduled start time of 2pm for the 70cm class which is then followed by the 85cm class at 3pm and the 1m class at 4pm. The indoor dressage league wraps the weekly competitions up at the centre on Sunday afternoon with this popular competition commencing at 2pm. All weekly classes can be found on the centres website, www.ravensdalelodge.com and entries should be in the office no later than 9am on the Friday before competition.
Ravensdale Lodge will host the second of their very popular “Bumper” bank holiday shows on Easter Monday, 6th April from 11am. Each class will be timed and there are seven classes scheduled from X poles to 1.10m in this Grand Prix for leisure riders. All classes will be generously sponsored once again by Ravensdale Lodge, Moorhill Saddlery, Mackins Horse Feeds, Botanica International & Horse First. This is a date for everyone’s diary as this exciting competition is open to both horses and ponies and is sure to be another fun filled, action packed day at Ravensdale Lodge. With no time to rest, another action packed day is set for the following day, Tuesday 7th April as the centre gears up to host the first Young Event Horse qualifier for Balmoral show.
