‘Grand’ Finale Of ‘Grab the cash’ Show at Connell Hill

Saturday saw the final of the ‘Unregistered Horse Show – Grab The Cash’ shows at Connell Hill and what a show this turned out to be.  Horse boxes and lorries made their way into the spacious parking lots with competitors registering and then zooming down to walk the course eager to get going.  The professionally designed course, by William Brown, requested controlled riding skills with precision of stride.  The show swiftly opened with the 80 cm class which saw Ciara Heron, amongst the  competitors grabbing the first cash of the day, on her new horse ‘Pheobe’.  The arena crew then took flight and adjusted the course for the 90 cm class with Vicky Slater jumping double clear on ‘Paddock Clover Flight’.  This hugely captivating show saw outstanding jumping skills from both rider and horse and non more so than the 1.0 m class with a full house of double clear rounds.  Shannon MacKenzie then took the 1.10 m challenge jumping double clears on ‘Lily’ and ‘Farragh’ with Liam McKee taking the honours of the only double clear in the 1.20 m class on ‘Tina’.

Connell Hill would like to thank, Course Designer, Mr William Brown for designing professional tracks, competitors, grooms and spectators for their support and wish everyone success for the future welcoming all back for the commencement of the SJI Horse League on Saturday 7^th March at 10.00 am, classes 80 cm – 1.30 m.
