Easter Celebrations at Connell Hill’s SJI Pony League
With clocks going forward and it being Easter Sunday there was no lying in for these younger athletes as they attended the fourth week of the SJI Pony League. Once again time and effort had been taken to turn out like the professionals they are to jump at Connell Hill. Red rosettes were picked up by Michael Doherty on ‘Rockmount Cinders’ in the Newcomers class and Taylor Hunter on ‘Ballybollen Blue’ in the 128 cm 70 cm class. Extra special Easter celebrations were had by Laura Millar on ‘Little Prince Caspian’ winning a red ribbon in the 128 cm 80 cm class then going on win first place in the 128 cm 90 cm class and first place on ‘Cocashey Calpso Tweed in the 128 cm 1.0 m class and Elle Johnston on ‘Dun N Dust It’ when they went home with red rosettes in the 138 cm 90 cm and 1.0 m classes. There was no mist in the 148 cm classes as Phoebe Scott on ‘Indian Mist’ jumped double clears in the 1.10 m and 1.20 m classes.
