Final Count Down for Connell Hill’s Training League Show

Friday night saw the last chance to qualify for the final of the Training League Show at Connell Hill which will be held next Friday, 19^th December, at 6.30 pm, x-poles – 1.0 m.  The final of this league is kindly sponsored by Annaghmore Saddlery 35c Moss Road Annaghmore Co.Armagh 028 3885 1128 and Horse First Ltd, Flurrybridge Enterprise Centre, Newry Co Down 028 30848844.  This league has encouraged riders to go forward achieving their goals with help and encouragement giving confidence in a safety conscious environment.  Preparations are already under way as to not only their dress but their ponies turn out as young riders, filled with enthusiasm, eagerly awaiting their ‘big show’.  The sharp coolness of the night was warmed by the passion of true dedication shown with clear rounds in the x-poles class by Rebecca Saunderson on ‘Col’, Charlotte McAllister on ‘Timmy’, Molly Woods on ‘Murphy’ and Sophie McAllister on ‘Timmy’.  Erin McCartney then opened the 50 cm class with a clear round on ‘Tilly’, followed by her sister, Beth on ‘Folly’ and Ryan Stewart on ‘Murphy’.  It was then double clears in the 70 cm class for Natasha McKernan on ‘Star Status’ and Naomi McCavana on ‘Molly’.  The course adjusted for the 80 cm class saw proficient double clears for Natasha McKernan on ‘Star Status’, Gaby Morgan on ‘Manninard Sir Ganty’ and Dawn Reeve on ‘Jack’.  Connell Hill welcomes everyone to attend the final next Friday, 19^th December, which promises to be a highly competitive fun filled night followed by the Xmas Working Hunter Show on Saturday, 20^th December, at 10.00 am in memory of James Way with proceeds to Chest, Heart & Stroke with N.I.F. and  Equi-Festival Qualifiers. Horses at 10.00 am and Ponies at 2.00pm, Horse Classes 4 year olds, 80 & 90 cm, Small Hunter 90 cm, 1.0 m & 1.10 m, Pony classes x-poles, 30 cm, cradle and starter stakes, small M & M up to 122 cm. M & M 122 cm – 138 cm, 133 cm, 143 cm, 153 cm and M & M Large Breeds.
