Gaby’s Talent Shines Through at Connell Hill Hill’s Glitter Show
Christmas is most certainly on its way as festivities broke out at Connell Hill on Saturday for the ‘All That Glitters Xmas Show’. Competitors arrived full of enthusiasm eager to jump their chosen challenges having the opportunity of competitive tracks with the added bonus of a friendly welcoming environment over-spilling into ‘enjoyment’. The first line up of the day for presentations in the X-Poles class were Ellen O’Neill on ‘Coco Pops’, Jasmin Kirkwood on ‘Maddy’ and Joel O’Neill on ‘Coco Pops’. It was then first place for Jasmin Kirkwood on ‘Maddy’ jumping clear in the 30 cm class. The clocks set and ready for action as the 60 cm class got under way with Dawn Bond taking first place on the futuristic ‘Dicey Riley’, as this was his debut show, and Ashley Kelly taking second on her super horse ‘Jack’. The first class indoor surface really gave riders confidence to push that little bit harder and take nippy turns in a bid to beat the clock giving some mind blowing rounds of jumping which saw Gabby Morgan, speed past the post and take the honours of first place on ‘Maninard Sir Ganty’ with Anna Ricoy jump into second on ‘Scamp’ in the 70 cm class. The competition really heightened as the 80 cm class got under way as Judith Sossick jumped first with a double clear in a very speedy time on ‘Loughview Chloe’ holding the lead until previous hidden talent winner of the 70 cm class Gaby Morgan took the challenge on ‘Maninard Sir Ganty’ and once again flew home into first place. The day was drawing to an end with the 90 cm class but the competition was still rife which saw Annie Courtney-Cadam make intricate turns requiring skilful riding jump a superb double clear in a super fast time taking first place on ‘LCC Some Man For One Man’. Well done and thanks to all for attending
