On the 6th December 2014, Knockaghview Equestrian Centre will be hosting a fundraising school’s showjumping event in aid of a 17 year old girl’s trip to Mulanje in Malawi in June 2015. Mimi Joffroy, who is studying her AS Levels at Belfast Royal Academy, will be travelling to Malawi to provide a home for a homeless family and teach science to children of four stages of education. She is travelling as part of a team on the Be* The Change scheme and needs to raise a colossal sum of money to be able to fund her 2 week visit to Mulanje. This show, co-organised by Mimi personally and Ruth Wilson (owner of Knockaghview EC), seeks to provide money towards funding such an amazing opportunity.

The classes will be of the Ulster School’s standard and are as follows:

Novice Team (85cm)
Open Team (1m)
Novice Individual (85cm)
Primary School Individual (75cm)

Teams should consist of either 3 or 4 riders, as only the 3 best scores count, and mixed school’s teams are allowed. A donations box will be available on the day should anyone wish to contribute. The entry fee is £10 per rider (i.e. £40 per team) and entries close on the 3rd December. To request an entry form please email mimi.joffroy@hotmail.co.uk
