‘Time Goes Forward’ at Connell Hill Training Show
Connell Hill held the sixth week of their Autumn/Winter Training League Show on Friday night, and with the clocks putting time back it was quite the opposite at this venue as competitors decided it was ‘time’ to go forward aiming higher. This can be achieved by ‘time’ and help which is readily available on hand to gain greater heights and indeed riding skills. The x-poles class commenced the show with Lauren Smyth introducing ‘Castle Lodge Zanzitarabar’ to the competitive world of jumping with clear rounds for all competitors in this class. Two young ladies aiming higher going forward were Grace Moore jumping double clear on ‘Millie’ in the 60 cm and 70 cm classes and Natasha McKernan who jumped double clears in the 70 cm, 80 cm classes and, who then decided it was ‘time’ to aim higher, the 90 cm class. Robert Newell introduced young horses ‘Charlie’ and ‘Sally’ to their future career in the world of show jumping taking it all in their stride jumping double clears in the 70 cm, 80 cm and 90 cm classes. Next week will see the seventh week of the league which promises to be a ‘treat’ of a night without the ‘tricks’ so load up and come on down for a spooktacular night. The second qualifying date for the £1000 Indoor Derby will be held on Sunday 2nd November at 10.00 am, 60 cm – 1.0 m classes.
