Competitors Follow the ‘Star’ to Connell Hill
The drop in temperature did not deter equine enthusiasts wrapping up and travelling to Connell Hill for the fourth week of the Training League Show where competitors had the privilege of jumping, training, brushing up on skills and taking novice horses over tracks to further their career. The show saw red as it got off to a flying start with all competitors picking up rosettes for clear rounds in the x-poles and 50 cm classes. David Taylor then picked up red for a double clear in the 60 cm class on ‘Penny’. As this very atmospheric night wore on the 70 cm class then saw a well controlled double clear for Yasmin Boyle on ‘Kizzy’. As the course was adjusted for the 80 cm challenge competitors eagerly awaited which saw Annie Courtney-Cadam taking all in her stride and successfully filling well known ‘stardom boots’ jumping double clear on the great ‘LCC Pugsy’ and, new addition, ‘LCC Star’, who will be one to follow in the future as they then went on to jump the only double clear in the 90 cm class. Next Friday night will be the fifth week of this Training League where everyone will receive a warm welcome, x-poles to 1.10 m classes at 6.30 pm.
Competitors and family members who attended the Training Show on Friday night would also like to mention a very special congratulations to Jodie Creighton on her huge achievement winning HOYS Underwood Working Hunter Pony of the Year Champion 2014 on Stambrook Miss Bellini.
