Training Show League Gains Momentum at Connell Hill

Friday night saw a large number of competitors turn out to compete at the first leg of the Autumn/Winter League at Connell Hill.  This league will run to Friday 12^th December, competitors to jump at five league dates to qualify for the final on Friday 19^th December with same horse and rider combination per class with show commencing at 6.30 pm, classes x-poles to 1.10 m.  The competition got off to a flying start with a full house of clears in the X-Poles class with Erin Dunseath displaying her talent jumping clear in the 50 cm class on ‘Dora’.  Joyce Scott took the 60 cm challenge and jumped a super double clear on ‘Peagus’.  This was certainly the night for taking higher challenges with Maeve Carlin jumping her first 70 cm class and triumphantly claiming red on ‘Cinders’ and Julie McLernon with the very futuristic ‘Libra’, with Natasha McKernan jumping her first double clear on ‘Star Status’ in the 80 cm class.  Shelley Bell then took the first double clear in the 90 cm class on ‘Ben’ and then Sarah Wylie glided over the 1.0 m class with a successful double clear on ‘Snowy’.  Rachel McGookin then ended this nights jumping to a round of applause as she carefully navigated her over the 1.10 m course with a double clear on ‘Maddy’.  Don’t forget our league will continue next Friday night at 6.30 pm where everyone will receive a warm welcome.
