Busy Easter Programme for Omagh RDA
Omagh Riding for Disabled have a busy schedule of the Easter Break, with several shows and camps in the pipeline.
Starting on Easter Saturday (30th March) with the Annual Easter Show commencing at 10am with all usual classes including a few extra novelty classes also. Starting the day is the Starter Stakes class, followed then with the newcomers, and then classes to 1m. As it is Easter, the Easter bunny will also be visiting the Arvalee Road centre, to hide some Easter eggs for the children (and big children’s!) Easter egg hunt, taking place at 1pm.
The Omagh Half Marathon and Fun Run also takes place on Saturday. Omagh RDA volunteers and riders are also asking part in both the Half Marathon and the Fun Run, and are needing everyone to sponsor them to will them over their respective finishing lines.

Easter Sunday sees the final of the Arvalee Riding Club Working Hunter league with over £700 in the final prize pot! The final will also see the final Northern Ireland Festival qualifiers for the 2013 show.
Seskinore Pony Club then hold their annual junior Easter camp at the centre from Easter Tuesday to Thursday.
Following this Omagh RDA members then embark on two days of Camps, Friday (5th April) aimed towards the younger members, and the Saturday (6th April) for those hoping to attend Danescroft in May for the regional dressage competition.
Finally, just before everyone goes back to school, Sunday 7th April sees the start of the Omagh RDA dressage shows. With RDA tests in the morning, BD tests are also being run, BD tests are Intro A (2008), Prelim 7, Prelim 14 and Novice 24.
As a voluntary run charity, Omagh RDA depend entirely on its volunteers to assist in all activities. With the centre getting busier, new volunteers are always welcome. So if you are able to spare even 1 hour per week to help disabled children and adults, please get in touch with the centre.
