Strule Valley League Commences

STRULE VALLEY RIDING CLUB, Omagh, Co Tyrone commenced their Annual Summer Showjumping League last Wednesday night in Ecclesville, Fintona.  Thanks to the competitors who braved the weather to come along & compete & well done to all.

 

The Club would like to thank Raymond Caldwell for building his usual friendly, flowing courses assisted by Alan Gilchrist, Chris Bogle judging, Yvonne Chisholm entries, AJS Event Catering, Pearl Donnell & Alison Donnell call up.

 

The Club are delighted to have beautiful perpetual cups on offer for the league winners on the final night – 23^rd July.  The AJS Perpetual Cup for the 60cm league winner, The Strule Valley Riding Club Perpetual Cup for the 70cm, The LW Surphlis & Son Perpetual Trophy 80cm, The Good Gracious Perpetual Cup 90cm & The Omagh Equestrian & Countrywear Perpetual Trophy 1 metre open class.

 

Generous sponsorship for prizes on the final night have been secured from Three Valley Vets, Ann & Noel Regan, Craig’s Haylage, Gortnagarn Stables, Briarwood Enterprises & HM Carpets.

The league continues on Wednesdays 9^th, 16^th July with the final being on Wednesday 23^rd.  Jumping commences at 7pm each night.

 

Members enjoyed a recent showjumping lesson with Mandi King at The Tyrone Farming Society Showgrounds & they look forward to Cross Country & BBQ at Beltrim Castle, Gortin in August.
