It’s Star Status at Connell Hill’s Training Show

It was a “Good Friday” nights jumping at Connell Hill as competitors turned up to jump in the outdoor arena which was an array of colourful fences enhanced by the sunshine.  Whatever the chosen pathway, competing/schooling/training, riders enjoyed the experience under saddle in this spacious outdoor which has a most scenic view of the surrounding countryside.  Gemma Goodrich on ‘Mouse’ started this show off with a clear round in the X-Poles class with Rachel McLean on ‘Daisy’, a new partnership, jumping clear in the 50 cm class.  It was red rosettes for double clears in the 60 cm class for Alex McMaster on ‘Val’, Natasha Mckernan  on ‘Tiny’ and Naomi McCavana on ‘Molly’.  Collecting red for double clears in the 70 cm class were Marie-Clare Bell on ‘MJ’ and the very busy star of the show with multiple rides was Natasha McKernan on ‘Star Status’ who then went on to jump double clear in the 80 cm class with Kirsty Bates on ‘Jake’, William Thompson on ‘Tilly’ and Gary Butler on ‘Duchess’.

 

Training Shows will continue on Friday night, outdoor, commencing at 6.30 pm sharp, X-Poles – 1.10 m classes, where everyone will receive a warm welcome with café facilities for hot and cold drinks/snacks.

 

The Grand Finale of the Spring SJI Horse League will be held on Saturday 26^th April at 10.00 am, classes 80 cm – 1.30 m.  Competitors must have jumped at five league dates to qualify for this final.

 

5 Week SJI Horse League commencing Saturday 3^rd May, 10^th, 17^th, 24^th and final on 31^st May at 10.00 am, classes 80 cm – 1.30 m.
