Easter Ride for Strule Valley
STRULE VALLEY RIDING CLUB have a busy time ahead. The annual charity pleasure ride is planned for Easter Monday, 21st April at Baronscourt, by kind permission of the Duke & Duchess of Abercorn. The ride will set off at 11am. This is open to everyone & £5 each is asked & money will go to The Pushkin Trust. Those coming along are asked to wear proper headwear & footwear – no wellies.
Showjumping training continues with William Anderson at Ecclesville & a working hunter competition is planned for Saturday 10th May at Ecclesville, Fintona commencing at 10am. Ponies will compete first at 60cm, 70cm, 80cm & 90cm followed by the pony championship – 1st & 2nd from each pony class will go forward for champion & reserve. Horses will commence at approx. 12 noon with 70cm, 80cm, 90cm & 1 metre & then the horse championship.
During May Mandi King will re-commence showjumping training with members at her yard. Congratulations also to our 2 teams that competed at the recent Seskinore & Ecclesville Riding Club Inter Club Showjumping Event at Ecclesville. Riding for Strule Valley Jade (4th) – Beau & Noel Regan, PK & Karen Glendinning, Gypsey & Laura Glendinning & Gazelle & Lucinda Blakiston-Houston. Then for Strule Valley Navy (6th) – George & Alison Donnell, Elsie & Heather Beattie, Harry & Alison Parkes & Kallie & Noel Regan.
