Third Annual International Para-Equestrian competition
For the third year in a row, the major International Para-Equestrian competition organized by Handi Equi’ Compet, will take place at the “Pôle International du Cheval” on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of March 2013.
Twelve nationalities will attend this unique French open competition of Para Dressage.
More than 50 of the best riders in the world will dispute in the beautiful surroundings of Deauville, and will try to get to the podium, either individually or by team. The beautiful arenas, the superb organization but above all the warm atmosphere of the competition makes it one of the most appreciated among riders. Pepo Puch, gold medal winner at the London Paralympics, comes back every year: ”I love the horsey atmosphere from the CPEDI and the region of Deauville! I very much appreciate how Handi Equi’ Compet kindly organise all the show and make everybody feel so welcome! I also really enjoy the good french kitchen! I am really looking forward to this year’ s competition”
The riders return more numerous every year and take advantage of this first competition to test their horses at the beginning of the season but also to gauge their level among the French, the Danish or the English competitors.
The CPEDI *** of Deauville groups together, on 3 days, the international circuit and its Nations Cup as well as a very new French national circuit.
Every rider can thus participate in tests adapted to his degree of handicap, ranging from Grade Ia for the heaviest handicaps to Grade IV for the “lighter” handicaps.
Each rider and its horse will get to perform on:
A team test, qualifier for the Para-Equestrian Dressage Nations Cup
An individual championship, qualifier for the Para-Equestrian Dressage Nations Cup
A music freestyle championship
