Niamh’s Success at Strule Valley
STRULE VALLEY RIDING CLUB, Omagh, Co Tyrone held an Arena Eventing Competition at Ecclesville, Fintona recently. Thanks to all who came along to compete & take on the challenge of something a little different! Thanks to our neighbouring Erne Lakeland & Clogher Valley Riding Clubs for supporting & members from Seskinore Harriers Pony Club & RD Equestrian as well.
The Club would like to thank Raymond Caldwell for building a lovely flowing and inviting course and also his assistants Pamela Caldwell, Alan & Natasha Gilchrist, Chloe & Henry Flood, Kyle Hayes, Yvonne Chisholm, Jane Huey & Alison Donnell.
Thanks to Chris Bogle for judging, Natasha Gilchrist & Yvonne Chisholm entries, AJS Event Catering, Jane Huey & Alison Donnell call up & Chloe Flood gate.
Special thanks to Raymond Boyd from Bluefrog for very kindly sponsoring bales of shavings for prizes.
A special well done must go to the young & very talented Niamh McEvoy who is following in mum Maeve’s footsteps. She competed 3 ponies in the 80cm class & the same again in the 90cm class; jumping an exceptional 3 double clears in the 90cm class!
Competitors coped very well with the challenge of the Arena Eventing and the brush, roller/brush & cottage fences caused none of the horses & riders any problems. Well done!
