The Pony Club Conference Is a Sell Out Success
The Pony Club’s Annual Conference is being held on March 6th at its bi-annual venue of Cheltenham Racecourse, boasts a jam-packed and varied line up of 
speakers, and has completely sold out!
Kicking off the day with updates on financial matters will be Robin Danielli, Treasurer of The Pony Club, before the lighter side of the programme gets underway with Matthew Cobble speaking on how the Young Equestrian Leaders Award (YELA) is helping to keep young people volunteering. As always there will be the latest news on training initiatives for the year delivered by Pony Club Training Chairman, William Blane FBHS, who will also be introducing the new Pony Club Ambassadors Scheme.
Pony Club Endurance will also be a hot topic, and FEI Endurance rider Rachael Farley-Claridge, will be giving her insight on the sport and advising on how Pony Club Branches and Centres can encourage Pony Club Members to try it as a Pony Club discipline.
London 2012 is still fresh in the minds of many, especially those had an incredible time as volunteers, and a couple of The Pony Club Members who were selected as Young Games Makers for the Eventing cross country day at Greenwich will be filling the audience in on their memories of the occasion; before Mike Tucker, who is also compering the day, reminisces about his London 2012 memories from a commentators perspective.
Following lunch, the presentation of Secretary of the Year will be made by current Pony Club President Lady Lloyd-Webber, before the audience is treated to a light-hearted speaking slot from well known figure in racing and sport, Brough Scott MBE!
